Well more like itty-bitty :)

I strolled into CVS yesterday and guess what?!?! (what?!?!) They had MORE clearance Makeup *dances*. Now if you cannot tell by now, I LOVE me some thrifty shopping. Honestly-I don't mind paying DS prices, but if I can get it for cheap (on the low, low) WHYYYY NOTTTTT???

Exactly! So, now that we're on the same page-the "frugal shopping page" I'm ready to share my goodies :D
Well I wasn't lying when I said itty bitty lol. I got 4 HIP Color Rich Cream Crayons in (Top-Bottom)

• Perfectionist
• Authentic
• Meticulous
• Intricate

They were about $2.50 each (woohoo!) and they seem pretty comparable to MAC shadesticks, and NYX Jumbo Eye Pencils. Those 4 are all the colors they offer.

The last thing I purchased was a lip gloss. It's also HIP, and called Tainted. I need to go back to see if any of the l/g's are shrink wrapped because if they are-this bad boy is going back. This was between $2.50-$3.00, and I cannot find my receipt at the moment. I just don't think I want something someone MAY have already used on their lips *vomits*

Anyway-head to CVS and see what great buys you come across!

I Love Neutrals!!!!!! FOTD

...and I have NO idea why lol. Color excites me, but neutrals have a timeless, classic approach to makeup, and chances are you won't look dated. Color follows trends, but neutrals colors/shades are the building blocks to one's makeup collection.

On 5/3 i did a look (seen below), was running late, and didn't get a chance to take good pics before leaving for work.
All the rest of the photos are "over exposed" and too bright :( So I tried to redo the look especially for you guys, but this looks different...meh. Specs for this look:

I haven't blogged in a MINUTE!!! Why?? I have no clue!! I guess between school, my son, my relationship-I have more on my plate than i thought I would lol. Lawd I have GOT to do better. This is something I wanted sooo bad atone point, and now i'm like "meh..", and I have no clue why!

Nothing. Still the same, I have been wearing makeup much less often so blah! I recently bought some polishes from American Apparel *dances* so there will be new polish swatches. Everyday I look at my vanity, and I lost that passion for my art-makeup...IDK what it is though...stress?? Who knows. Anyway-i'm alive, and well, and unmotivated as far as makeup goes lol. FOTD/Revlon PhotoReady Review

Today I woke up feeling like a little color. So, I did a neutral eye, but a wanted a splash of color. To achieve this look, I blended MUFE No. 92.

Then I looked on my vanity and noticed my 2 unopened bottles of Revlon PhotoReady foundation. Feeling a little adventurous I said "why not?"

Now on to the review: I like it...a lot!

Pros-

• Applies smoothly and evenly...then again it could be technique *blush* lol
• Good Coverage
  
• Great for a dewy look
• Lasted all day long at work!
• Pump Bottle
  

Cons-

• Thicker consistency than Revlon ColorStay
• Can be a little too heavy/greasy for oily skin
• No variation in colors

Overall: Good product for a great price! Especially if you get it BOGOF :) Will I purchase again? Maybe. I dont try the dewy look because at the end of the day I look like a pile of grease, but if thats what you strive for-try this out! I have seen it being compared to MUFE HD Foundation, but I think this is a couple notches below. All in all great product, but i hate looking like i'm about to go fight (vaseline on the face ;) ) Perhaps if I try a different moisturizer I will LOVE it!

Dry Hair?? Healthy Hair Tip

Women of color suffer from drier hair than our Caucasian sisters. The more curly your hair hair, the more naturally dry it can become. And this is fact whether you are natural or relaxed...actually relaxed heads are probably that much drier due to the chemical process.

So you're wondering "My hair is so dry! What can I do?" Well one healthy hair tip is co-washing.

What is co-washing? Co-washing is going through the "wash" process, but instead of using shampoo, you use conditioner. The sulfates and soaps in shampoos is what strips our hair of it's natural moisture. Instead of letting the shampoo strip your hair, use conditioner to restore the moisture to your strands.

After Co-washing, you should still use a leave-in. Choose a leave-in that suits your haircare needs (cream vs spray). Set and/or style as usual.

However, with certain conditioner, there are more silicone ingredients. Silicone ingredients coat the hair, and block moisture out. So you can do 1 of 2 things:

1. Look for conditioners sans the silicone.
   
2. Clarify more often.

Q: Do I need expensive conditioners to co-wash??
A: No. Some of my favorite products are found at Wal-mart for just over a dollar.

Q: Do I still need to shampoo my hair??
A: Yes. you will need to clarify monthly, or sooner depending on your hair's needs.

Q: I wear weaves. Can I co-wash with a weave??
A: Yes. Co-washing add moisture to not only your natural hair, but your extensions or weave.

Q: What are some other benefits of co-washing??
A: Depending on the conditioner, you can not only receive moisture, but you can also get protein making your locks stronger. Also, you hair will smell AWESOME!

Polish Swatch!!! For this look, I coupled two different polishes. A cream (Nicole By OPI-No Limits) and a glitter topcoat (CG Disco Dazzle). And yup, the Disco Dazzle is one that I got for $1.09 the other day :) Enjoy!

Recently, ok yesterday, on a forum i'm a member on, a poster said CVS was having a clearance sale. There were LOTS of things marked down 50%-75% off. So today i ventured on over to CVS and welp-it resulted in a haul! Woot! They had a few eye shadow palette's, but i truly wasn't interested. They also had some foundations, in particular Revlon Color Stay-but not in my colors (womp womp). What I did luck out on was lip and nail products :)What I got:

I can't believe my last (and second smh) post was back in October...about freakin nail polish lol. Anywho, I've been thinking lately about this here blog. I made like 3 or 4 posts, and stopped blogging...i have no idea why though lol. I do know that recently, it was due to writer's block. So, today I decided to climb back up on this horse, and continue what I started.
